Annual General Meeting and Dinner

Dear BTC members

I am pleased to invite you to the Bankers' Taxation Circle Annual General Meeting and Dinner which will take place on Thursday 24th September 2026. It will be held again at The Athenaeum Club in Pall Mall.

We are delighted that our guest speaker is Andy Martyn. Andy is a London based Senior Advisor to EY and former International Tax Partner, having led EY’s EMEA Financial Services Transfer Pricing Network and UK Banking and Capital Markets Tax Practice. Before joining the Big Four, he spent 18 years at HMRC heading the International Financial Services Group, overseeing major transfer pricing and permanent establishment cases and leading Competent Authority APA and MAP negotiations. Widely regarded as a leading authority in transfer pricing policy, risk management and controversy resolution, Andy has supported the Bankers’ Taxation Circle for over 20 years. Outside his advisory work, he is a trustee of the Tall Ships Youth Trust and a celebrated Irish traditional music virtuoso, performing across Europe and North America.

Time: AGM at 6.30pm / pre-dinner drinks from 7pm / dinner at 7.30pm
Venue: The Athenaeum Club, 107 Pall Mall, SW1Y 5ER
Cost: £90 per person
Dress code: The Athenaeum Club requires gentlemen to wear a suit, or a jacket and tie. Black tie is optional. Ladies are expected to dress to an equivalent standard.

All members are welcome to join the AGM which will take place before dinner.

The agenda for the AGM will be circulated closer to the event once nominations for the BTC Officers and Committee have been received. A couple of members of the committee will be standing down at the AGM, therefore I strongly encourage those interested in joining the committee to contact me to find out more.
